James Rumbaugh


Dr. James Rumbaugh is a methologist of modern software development.

He led the development of Object-Modeling Technique (OMT) while working for General Electric.

He joined Rational Software in 1994, and worked there with Ivar Jacobson and Grady Booch ("the three amigos") to develop UML. Later they merged their software development methologies, OMT OOSE and Booch, and into the Rational Unified Process (RUP). Before working for Rational he spent over 25 years at General Electric Research and Development Center.

He has a B.S. in physics from MIT, an M.S. in astronomy from Caltech, and a Ph.D. in computer science from MIT, and has written a number of books about UML and RUP together with Ivar Jacobson and Grady Booch:

The software is written in PHP and MySQL and is available to use for FREE online, or as a FREE download.

Earnings Tracker is aimed at contractors working through their own limited companies, and other freelancers, and lets invoice amounts, salaries, income tax, pension contributions, employers and employees national insurance contributions be recorded, and calculates the amount of VAT and corporation / business tax due, and the size of dividends that can be taken by shareholders.

Earnings Tracker can also be used simply as a dividend, corporation tax, or VAT calculator.
