Calculating Dividend Payments
Earnings Tracker calculates the size of dividends that can be taken by shareholders.
Dividend payments can only be made from a company's profit. So, if a company makes a loss of £10,000, a dividend payment cannot be made, even if there is money sitting in the company bank account. On the other hand, if a company makes a net profit of £10,000 (after salaries, expenses, corporation tax, etc have been paid), this can be distributed as a dividend payment to the company's shareholders.
Earnings Tracker also lets you generate dividend tax vouchers, enabling you to keep track of dividend payments made to shareholders.
